In 2019 Fiona Fitzpatrick graduated from Limerick School of Art and Design with a BA (Hons) Degree in Fine Art, Sculpture and Combined Media, furthering her studies to a Masters in Socially engaged art Practice and the Creative Environment (MA SPACE) at Limerick School of Art and Design, 2019-20.

Fitzpatrick describes her art as art activism, critical art, socially engaged art, social practice art, political art, participatory, dialogical and collaborative art.
